Tourist Offer: The Ethnographic Museum of Alta Val Seriana
Established in 1982, the Ethnographic Museum of Alta Val Seriana is divided into four sections and analyzes the secular relationship between the territory and the activites of the valley population with reference to spinning, to the work of charcoal workers, bricklayers, woodcutters and miners.
In the ancient fifteenth century building “ca’ della Murinina”, another museum section is set up with settings of rural culture. The rural house, which is open to the public, is situated in the middle age village that can be discovered between the streets that lead to the Sanctuary of our Lady of Grace.
One of the rarest examples in the whole province of Bergamo and the last section of the museum is Rasga del Tönöla, an ancient, original eighteenth century sawmill in the locality of Valcanale, fed with water, restructured and working perfectly.
At the end, there will be lunch or dinner in one of the restaurants of the country where you would be able to taste a traditional dish, discovering Ardesio through its flavours.
